Saturday 05/31/2014  Got off to a good start this am and had a fine day for traveling, blue skies, cloudless and 100 degree heat.  We did very well and as we approached Midland Texas, saw a good many windmills.
Further up the road we hit a traffic issue and were stuck for about 20 mins in non moving traffic, but it cleared and we move on.  We got past Midland and close to Odessa and started seeing all the oil rigs in the US, or so it seemed.  Appeared that 2 out of 3 were pumping, so I fail to see the oil shortage the gas companies cry about. Both the ones in pic below were pumping away.  Later down the road there were numerous new derricks punching holes in the earth.
We arrived at Van Horn Texas KOA, around 4:14 pm and got settled in and started to work on dinner. While waiting for me to cook pork chops, Mary and Eileen took the flat sisters for a stroll around the park.
Well it put the first photo of flat sisters at top of page. Here the sisters are trying out a used saddle. We have a scenic view of the surrounding mountains and last but not least a dip in the pool.

last photo is the rig and car at Van Horn.

FRIDAY 5/30/2014
07:39 CENTRAL TIME, We are all finished with breakfast and getting ready to hit the road, 229 miles to day will put us in Arlington Texas, Home of AT&T (COWBOYS)Stadium.  This is on Eileen's bucket list as she is a Cowboys fan, (first sign of dementia).  Should be a pleasant run and forecast is for mid 80's and no rain.  Will post more as we travel today, I have included a photo of the rv park, here at the casino.
2:00 pm, I am parked in front of AT&T Stadium, home of the Cowboys almost football team.  Eileen and Mary have gone on walk to see if they can get in, for a tour.  Right now it looks like we will leave and beddown in Abilene Texas.  Post photos later this evening.  Guess what? Its later this evening.  Well Eileen got her Bucket List wish today as I took everyone to AT&T (Cowboys) stadium.  I would say a good time was had by all, lots of shopping in the Pro Shop and just walking around.  A good view of Texas Rangers baseball stadium was observed also.  Of course a photo with a statue of the king of football Tom Landry.

A pretty good experience for all, tomorrow we will venture on toward Arizona.  Our evening did have a small hitch in it though, we have a sensitive door lock on inside and if some one puts pressure one and moves it just a little, when door is shut, you cannot open door from outside, even with key.  Had to get the manager at KOA we are at in Abilene, to loan us a ladder, so Mary (smallest) could open a window and crawl in and open door from inside.  Other than that a great day.  Have more pics but little tired and will post again in AM.  Nite all.

Thursday, 5/29/14
Well it is 7:11 locale time and we are getting ready to head out.  Will up date later, as looks like we have some weather ahead of us in MS and LA, but should not be too bad, just rain.  I hope all you are having a good day.
Well we did get to ride in the rain today, but not bad, just few heavy showers, no heavy storms.  Tonight we are camping in the Diamond Jack Casino campground, in Bossier City La.  Campground was reasonable, $25.00, but they got a little more from us in the casino.  OOPS!  We had an uneventful trip thru Al, Ms and almost through La, about 25 more mile and we will be in Texas.  The pic below is the Mississippi river crossing into La.

I taught Larry and Eileen the hard part of camping, setting up and getting every thing in order (snicker).  They did a good job, putting slides out and hooking up water and electric and cable.  I had amassed  several thousand points, staying at KOAs and so I cashed in 15000 points and we only had to pay $5.00 for the night.  Dinner is done and now to just kick back, will start early tomorrow and try to make a good dent in La. before we stop again.  Everyone is fine and no issues.  Write more tomorrow.

For all the flat sisters, here you go, along with the live one, well almost alive, We will perk her up by george.
